W SCOTTSDALE

The best staycations can offer a convenient opportunity to relax or a new and exciting experience without having to travel. As you may already know from the Instagram posts during our stay we had the best of both. We ate incredible food, walked over to see the new Star Wars movie, road bikes along the canals and jumped into a golf cart to get to nearby nightlife. Read on for more on our perfect weekend at the dog-friendly W Scottsdale, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale!

The hotel itself is fabulous, from the modern decor to the helpful staff, everything we needed was at our fingertips. All rooms embody a sense of luxury and style, from the well appointed standard rooms to the breathtaking suites. Why compromise, was a question I asked myself for the duration of my stay. Have what you want, when you want it! You can easily move from the quiet and comfortable hotel rooms to the party atmosphere in the bar, featuring live music every Wednesday-Saturday!

Did I mention the food? Ordering room service is one of my favorite things to do. Needless to say W Scottsdale did not disappoint. They served it up exactly the way I like it, prompt, delicious, and very photogenic. I can't believe this was our first visit to Sushi Roku in Scottsdale. The food was SO good that we posted a separate blog to highlight it. The options don't stop there, the property's central location provides a diverse range of restaurants and bars that are all walking distance. One of our favorite casual spots to grab a drink and some charcuterie, Culinary Dropout is only a block away!

Whether you're staying in to grab a drink in the lobby at the Living Room Bar, poolside on the WET Deck at the Shade Lounge or heading out for a night on the town the W Scottsdale is located right in the middle everything. You can walk around the corner to hot spots like Dakota and Bottled Blonde and take a quick ride in a golf cart to BS West (the closest gay bar), there really is something for everyone! We opted for a drag show and dancing at BS West ;)

Our last day at the property was very relaxed, we started with (shocker) room service, hung out by the pool...yes, you can do that here in the winter...and even rode bikes around the property. The hotels keep bikes on property for guests to explore Old Town during the day. The best part? You can use them for three hours and there's no charge!
